Come join us for an intensive training workshop and learn personal enrichment skills that will benefit you through out life.
Class sizes are limited so pre-registration is stressed to guarantee class participation.
INTERVIEW PROFICENCY: After learning techniques, you will participate in a one on one interview situation. Here you will be asked a few simple questions about yourself just as if you were in a job interview. While in this interview situation, you will be observed and given hints and/or tips to develop a better interactive presentation.
PERSONAL INTRODUCTION: Learn to confidently introduce yourself while in front of a group. Write up a professional presentation and speak effectively, to a live audience, using a microphone. Prepare personal informative paragraphs and perform them at the scored Mock-up.
ON STAGE PRESENTATION: Here you learn how to develop an “ON STAGE” presence. Poise & posture will be greatly emphasized while entering, walking and leaving a stage environment. During the Mock-UP class portion, you will be demonstrating your on stage skills while a speaker narrates your personal accomplishments.
ACTOR/ACTRESS/SPORTSWEAR: For the actor/actress section, you will choose a simple advertising/commercial style statement and present it in front of a panel of peers. You will not be scored, but the panel will write suggestions of how to improve your presentation. Prompts can be used if desired. In the sportswear section: you are to bring some simple sportswear clothing for use in learning modeling techniques and to practice with while using a runway atmosphere.
SCORED “ON STAGE” MOCK-UP PRESENTATION: Your family and friends are invited to see you perform in front of judges.
This is not a competition! You will not be competing against anyone else; but you will be striving for a personal best score. Each section has a maximum point value. Your scores will be averaged together and you will receive an individual listing of how your personal best scores compare against the maximum. The presentation schedule is as follows:
5 second “On Stage” Hello (0-4 points); 20 second Personal Introduction (0-6 points);
On Stage Presentation (0-10 points); Answer an On Stage question (0-5 points)
COMMUNITY SERVICE INVOLVEMENT: Bring a “like-new” condition Stuffed Animal, Book or a Non-perishable Food Item and receive a COMMUNITY SERVICE CERTIFICATE along with an extra chance for the FREE Savings Bond drawing. (Maximum of 5) These items will be donated to local area charities.
Receive an additional FREE CHANCE for the Savings Bond drawing with a completed application and full payment.
Bring: Positive attitude, notebook, pen/pencil, nutritional lunch/snack
For Sportswear Class: simple sportswear clothing for modeling practice
For the Mock-up Presentation: Sunday style dress.
